Our Story
For over two decades, the Brisbane White Eagles Basketball Club has championed competitive spirit, culture, and community across local leagues and divisions, including participation at strong league levels. Founders and alumni have represented Queensland programs and created pathways that inspire today’s teams.
How it began
The club started as a small group within Brisbane’s Serbian community and grew into a respected, welcoming home for players and families. Early teams were built on volunteer effort, weekend training, and a shared commitment to bring people together through basketball.
That grassroots energy still defines the White Eagles today, where new players and returning alumni train side by side, learn from one another, and pass on the values that shaped the club.
The DMC connection
Since 2005, White Eagles have proudly represented Brisbane at the Draža Mihailović Cup, a national tournament that unites Serbian clubs through sport and culture. Over the years, our teams have earned three championship victories, reflecting the discipline and camaraderie at the heart of our identity.
Hosting DMC 2025 in Brisbane is an opportunity to welcome friends from across Australia, showcase our hospitality, and inspire juniors who will carry the legacy forward.
